After his comedy series, Sanjay Dutt is all set to portray the role on the Maratha warrior in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Everybody involved on the project is tightlipped about it, as Dutt’s current assignments and legal hassles would require a year to be sorted out, reports Mumbai Mirror.
A source on the project tells the daily, "We can’t see anyone except Sanjay Dutt as the brave and flamboyant Maratha warrior, galloping across the screen, sword in hand. We want an individual who comes around Russell Crowe’s character in Gladiator or Robin Hood."
The director on the film, Soham Shah even so doesn't give the clear picture. He says, "All I would say at the moment is, I can in no way make a film without having Sanjay Dutt. He’s my mentor, guru, assist and support. If in spite of Kaal and Luck I’m still directing a project as large as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, it’s as a result of the trust and aid of Mr Dutt. At the moment, I’m getting ready to direct a film for Sanjay Dutt Productions. Then I’ll start jobs on the Shivaji project."
The makers on the movie are thinking the possibility of making the project a Hindi-Marathi bilingual.
