Maybe it is because of their shared past or because of their exceptional chemistry, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone remain one of the most viable onscreen jodis.
Even after their breakup, the two never let their personal issues affect their professional space. While most of the separated couples refrain from taking up projects alongside one another, Deepika and Ranbir gave us two memorable movies including Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tamasha.
And now we hear that director Imtiaz Ali, who last directed them in his film ‘Tamasha’ is keen to bring this hit jodi together, however not for a movie but for a play.
While it is being said that Imtiaz has expressed his deep-down desire to both the actors, but it is still not confirmed if Deepika and Ranbir have given their nod of consent.
As of now, Imtiaz is busy working on his upcoming flick ‘Raula’, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Deepika on the other hand has her dates occupied for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Padmavati’ and Ranbir is awaiting the release of his next ‘Jagga Jasoos’ alongside Katrina Kaif.
Going by their busy schedule, this plan of casting the ex-lovers in a play seems like a far-fetched dream, but nevertheless, we hope to see Ranbir-Deepika’s sparkling chemistry again and that too live on stage!
