No dubbing for Vin Diesel in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' in India

Actor Vin Diesel's popular character Baby Groot will not be dubbed in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" for its India release.
"In our efforts to hit this sweet spot, we study the story, characters and work on the local script and dialogues with writers and talent in India. For 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2', we realised that Baby Groot was such a treat to watch in his original avatar (voiced by Vin Diesel); that in a first -- we decided to retain the original version across all languages in India," Amrita Pandey, Vice President, Studios, Disney India, said in a statement.
"India is a multilingual country and we are fortunate that unlike in many other parts of the world, English has found its way into mainstream local and regional films.
"We are excited to present Vin Diesel in the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions of the film just as he appears in the original English version of the film," Pandey added.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", starring Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana, will release on Friday in India.

Deepika replaces Priyanka in Two States

Siddharth Anand's newest movie on Chetan Bhagat's novel A couple of States apparently has Deepika Padukone replacing Priyanka Chopra. Director Siddharth Anand had announced his newest movie a few days back, also stating that Saif Ali Khan will probably be playing the male lead. Wherever as the female lead is yet being decided. While Priyanka Chopra was earlier signed as the female lead, the actress has now been replaced by Deepika. If this is genuinely true, then the audience will once more be seeing the Adore Aaj Kal pair on-screen. A source informed that producer Sajid Nadidwala and director Siddharth consider that Deepika Padukone is a better choice for the role of the South Indian girl than Priyanka. The makers on the film aren't revealing a thing on records. NDTV
