Salman Khan’s Tubelight starts off on a decent note, records 50 per cent occupancy during the morning shows

Salman Khan‘s Tubelight was one of the most anticipated films of the year and looks like it has started off on a decent note. The film released today (June 23) in 4350 screens across India with an opening occupancy of nearly 40-50 per cent during the morning shows at the domestic box office. Several theatres in the metropolitan and tier I and II cities even opened to housefull shows too. With Tubelight being Salman’s first release in a year, that too on Eid, we always expected the film to start off well. However, it hasn’t opened as well as we expected it to. As the owner of G7 Cinemas and trade analyst, Manoj Desai mentioned to us exclusively, “Tubelight has started off well. The shows are not housefull, but it is decent. It is not like other Eid releases, but with Eid on Monday, I guess it will grow later on.”

Deepika replaces Priyanka in Two States

Siddharth Anand's newest movie on Chetan Bhagat's novel A couple of States apparently has Deepika Padukone replacing Priyanka Chopra. Director Siddharth Anand had announced his newest movie a few days back, also stating that Saif Ali Khan will probably be playing the male lead. Wherever as the female lead is yet being decided. While Priyanka Chopra was earlier signed as the female lead, the actress has now been replaced by Deepika. If this is genuinely true, then the audience will once more be seeing the Adore Aaj Kal pair on-screen. A source informed that producer Sajid Nadidwala and director Siddharth consider that Deepika Padukone is a better choice for the role of the South Indian girl than Priyanka. The makers on the film aren't revealing a thing on records. NDTV
